The subjects were six nurses and care workers, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews. A qualitative descriptive method was employed for data analysis.\nThe results revealed characteristic views that differed by role, such as concern over being in charge of terminal care among care workers and a sense of heavy responsibility among nurses. However, the workers generally shared common views, stating that they were working for the elderly and their families to provide terminal care and communicating within the facility or with medical institutes while acknowledging their respective roles. The workers were also providing highly attentive service with an appropriate attitude to terminal care even when their patients died in an uncoordinated environment. In addition, they reported changes in the opinions of caregivers themselves, in which their views on life and death, places of terminal care and acceptance of natural death were altered. These results indicated that terminal care at the facility was supported by the sincere efforts of workers even in an uncoordinated environment.
