The items included whether the students \"have read the syllabus,\" \"are aware of what they must learn,\" \"understand where they are in their leaning process,\" \"have set up their own learning goals,\" \"make plans for solving problems,\" and \"how they process information in solving problems,\" and were asked of 90 nursing students in a questionnaire twice, before and two weeks after a course of lecture started. At the time of the survey in class, the nursing students were\nexplained the purpose and method of this survey and asked to show their consent by filling out and submitting their answers to the questionnaire. The response rates were 94.4% and 85.6% respectively.\nThe results showed that, students demonstrated a significant increase in the two scales of meta-cognition: \"are aware what they have to learn\" (p<0.001) and \"make plans for solving problems\" (p<0.05).
