本学では，地域在住の医療的ケア児（以下，対象児）の社会参加を促すとともに，学生の学びの場を提供することを目的とした北海道文教大学スマイル・プロジェクトを多学科連携で行っている．プロジェクトの一環として，A 市の就学前医療的ケア児の短期入所事業所と連携し，学生がクリスマス会を主体的に企画・運営することで対象児と学生との交流の機会を得た．イベント後に学生へのアンケート調査（学びのレポート）を実施し，事前準備や当日の運営についての気づきや学びについて記述してもらった．在宅療養児とのコミュニケーションを通じて，参加した学生達より，「児の気持ちを捉えることが難しい」と感じつつも，一緒に取り組んだ創作活動などを通じて，児の楽しそうな表情など捉えるなどして，「体験を通じて，自信を持つことができた」などの気づきや学びの回答があった．スマイル・プロジェクトでの経験が，学生のキャリアアップに影響を与えた例もあった． |

In our university, we are implementing the Hokkaido Bunkyo University Smile Project, a multidisciplinary project that aims to encourage the social participation of children in the Local Community receiving medical care at home, as well as to provide a platform where students can learn. As part of this project, students planned and held a Christmas party in collaboration with a short-term admission office for preschool children receiving medical care in City A to encourage interaction between children receiving medical care at home and students. After the event, we surveyed students and asked them to describe what they noticed and learned in the process of preparing for and on the day of the Christmas party. The participating students said that by communicating with children receiving medical care at home, they were able to witness the happy expressions of children while they worked together on the creative activities despite finding it "difficult to understand their feelings." Some students had some realizations and learned things saying, "This experience allowed me to gain confidence." In some cases, the experience at the Smile Project had an impact on tudents' career paths. |
